Mike Romito
President, Aerospace Group
Michael Romito was named president of the Aerospace Group of Crane
Aerospace & Electronics in April 2009. As president of the Segment’s Aerospace
Group, Romito is responsible for Aerospace Group product solutions, including
fluid management, landing systems, cabin, and sensing & utility systems. He
is located in Burbank, California.
Before joining Crane, Romito served as a consultant to several divisions
of Alliant Techsystems, Inc. His responsibilities included refining the
strategic plan and helping the organizations focus on commercial business
development and improved customer service. Prior to working with Alliant
Techsystems, Romito spent a large portion of his career with Parker Hannifin
Corporation, most recently as Group Vice President, Marketing and Customer
Support. During his tenure at Parker Hannifin, Romito also held the positions of
Group Vice President, Customer Support; General Manager, Control Systems
Division–Commercial, and Controller of the Control Systems Division. Prior to
joining Parker Hannifin, Romito was the Controller, Subsystems Group at Digital
Equipment Corporation and also held various positions in program management,
operations and accounting at TRW Incorporated.
Romito obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Management from the
United States Air Force Academy and a Masters of Business Administration from
the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).

David Bender
President, Electronics Group
David Bender was named President of the Electronics Group of Crane Aerospace &
Electronics in December, 2005. As president of the segment’s Electronics Group,
Bender is responsible for Electronics Group product and service solutions,
including power, microwave, microelectronics and electronics manufacturing
services. He is located in Redmond, Washington.
Before joining Crane, Bender served at Aerojet General Corporation, a division
of GenCorp, where his most recent role was Vice President of Operations. Prior
to that, he worked in various roles, including assignments in engineering,
defense and armaments, automotive, manufacturing, business development and
quality. He also has experience in functional leadership and implementation of
Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Operational Excellence at all of the major
locations within GenCorp.
Bender graduated from California State University, Long Beach, with a Bachelor
of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He received his Masters degree in
Management from Claremont University.
