STC Microwave Systems, formerly Signal Technology Corporation Arizona and
California Operations, has been designing and manufacturing custom Microwave
Components, Oscillators and Subsystem products for the more than 30 years and
has grown to become the premier designer and manufacturer with its Microwave
Integrated Multi-Function Assembly (MFA) products. We are recognized as a market
leader in Custom Microwave Products and Services.
Our
Microwave Systems Solutions
are typically integrated into complex systems
and subsystems which require precision frequency generation, conversion and
management. STC designs and manufactures custom microwave products using
frequency generation, synthesis and conversion components and assemblies from
raw materials to finished products, and produces various integrated packages,
including associated control and conditioning electronic assemblies.
We participate on virtually every major U.S. Defense program, a significant
number of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs and a number of Space satellite
programs. We participate on a number of major platforms for defense
applications, commercial satcom and numerous precision measurement,
instrumentation and sensor equipment for industrial applications such as level
detection, general avionics and telecommunications.
We are dedicated to meeting customer requirements for cost, performance and
delivery in products that bridges the entire microwave frequency range.
Our History
STC Microwave Systems was officially formed in June, 1968 in Scottsdale, Arizona
as part of Omni Spectra, Incorporated. Started as a research and development
laboratory in October 1966, the company was acquired by M/A-Com Incorporated in
1980, Signal Technology Corporation in 1991 and subsequently Crane Co. in 2003.
STC Microwave Systems did have a site in California that started in 1967 as
Addington Laboratories and subsequently acquired by Signal Technology
Corporation in 1989. California Operation expanded through organic growth as
well as strategic acquisitions of former well known microwave companies,
including Western Microwave, FEI Microwave Components, Systron Donner, Innowave,
and Omega Microwave.
Company Locations
STC Microwave Systems is located in Chandler Arizona and in Beverly
Massachusetts (Olektron).
Our Markets
We remain committed to defense, space and communication markets, assuring
customers of continued support and investment in our products and technologies.
In the defense market, every significant U.S. Defense system prime contractor is
currently our customer and our products have made their way into virtually every
U.S. Defense platform and many foreign defense platforms.
Our components and subsystems are widely used on electronic subsystems such as
radar, electronic warfare, missile guidance, fire control and navigation,
satellite communications, and industrial microwave precision measurement and
control electronics.
Our broad range of products allows customers to solve their system design needs
from individual system components to integrated subsystems. Our strategy is to
grow in these markets through acquisitions and leveraging our position as one of
the world's top suppliers of RF and microwave products.
Operations
Our team has the technical, manufacturing, management and financial resources to
ensure continued individual attention to our customers.
By providing direct access to engineering, development and production resources,
we can quickly respond and deliver solutions to custom requirements.
Our facilities are located in Chandler, Arizona, just 20 minutes southeast of
the Phoenix airport.
We own a modern facility with 84,000 sq. ft. of design, manufacturing and
support areas. The Chandler facility has approximately 25,000 sq. ft. of
specialty designed process areas with class 100,000, and 10,000, clean rooms
with full assembly, test and environmental screening capability in support of
customer product fabrication and test.
Our capability includes Hybrid chip & wire thin film (HMIC) and discrete
component integration and testing. Support functions, such as Material Resource
Planning (MRP II), bar-coded work in process tracking and control, laser
welding, machine shop, printed wiring board assembly including through hole,
wave solder & surface mount, etch and plating lab, CAD, CAE, CAT systems and
more, enhance our processes and capability for integrated customer support.
