Spur Gear Pumps
The external gear style pump uses
spur gear
elements to provide pumping capability and can be used in oil, fuel and coolant
application. Its packaging is relatively shorter but results in a larger
diameter requirement. It also offers higher pressure capability than the other
types of pumps.
