Fuel Level Systems
Introduced by ELDEC France in 1995, ELDEC Fuel
Level Systems incorporate proven technology to continuously measure
the amount of fuel in aircraft fuel tanks. The systems provide an
indication of each tank’s fuel quantity and give warnings when
critical fuel levels are reached. Designed to withstand tough
aerospace environments, the systems are particularly suitable for
composite aircraft in which the EMC environment is more severe.
A typical system consists of:
-
several fuel probes in each tank
-
fuel indicators fitted to the refueling panel
-
a total fuel indicator inside the cockpit
-
an electronics unit with built-in test capabilities
