Modulators
Olektron
offers products that combine RF and digital functions into a single
device that provides for efficiency and simplified use in a wide variety
of demanding applications.
The DPS series are Digital Phase Shifters
that control the phase of the signal input. Typical configuration uses
simulated lumped element circuit to provide the shift for each phase set
point. Phase shifts up to 360 degree total are available but performance
is limited to narrow bandwidths.
The DCPM series are Digital Complex
Phase Modulators have the capability to provide amplitude control of the
signal input. This device uses two analog bi-phase attenuators, which
are 90 degree out of phase so that both the in-phase and quadrature
phase component of the input signal are created. By recombining these
signals in-phase, the device can provide control of phase rotation and
amplitude.
The DPC series are Digital Phase Comparators, which is an I/Q
phase comparator with the addition of digital error correction and
output. Two IF signals are input derived from a phase interferometer
antenna array. The phase comparator generates two analog video signals
proportional to the I and Q components of the inputs. (A large variety
of custom and standard designs are available).
