Sophos Antivirus for Home Use

Please follow these instructions to install Sophos Antivirus on your personal computer. Crane Aerospace has obtained a license to install this application on personal computers belonging to employees. Do not share this application, or install it on computers that do not belong to you.

1) After you click the above link, Enter your Aerospace username and password

2) Choose “Save” when asked what to do with the file

3) In the “Save In” drop down menu, select “Desktop” in the left hand pane

4) When the file has downloaded choose “Run” the file. If you don’t have this option click the file “esxp” on your desktop (where we chose to save the file). If you are asked whether to Run the file, select Yes or Run

5) After clicking run, you will be asked to close your Internet Explorer Browser. This will allow the install to continue.  Then click “retry”

The setup program will now install the antivirus software onto your computer, please wait as this can take a few moments.

6) If you have any Anti-spyware or Firewalls installed you may need to allow access to the files that are installed and access to the internet. They will usually bring a message box asking you to allow or deny access - you need to allow the access. This will now download all updates from the website and update your system to include the latest virus protection.  To view the updating Process, right-click on “View updating status” on the Sophos Icon on your taskbar (by your clock in the lower right hand corner)

7) Installation is complete.
