Crane Aerospace & Electronics to Provide Power Control Modules for Boeing 787 Flight Control Electronics System

LYNNWOOD, Wash. – April 6, 2005 – Crane Aerospace & Electronics has been selected by Honeywell to provide power control modules and batteries for the 787 flight control electronics Honeywell is developing for the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

The 787 Flight Control Electronics System includes 4 cabinets, each of which includes a power control module and a battery. The developmental stage of the program covers 2005 through 2008 with initial production units being delivered in 2008. The contract is estimated to be worth approximately $40 million for Crane Aerospace & Electronics.
