REDMOND, Wash. –
August, 2006 – Crane Aerospace & Electronics, Electronics Group,
announced a new HF/UHF Switch Matrix offering combined frequency bands
in a single rack-mount housing. Designed for advanced signal reception
applications, the Model 1517 Switch Matrix is configured with 16 inputs
and 16 outputs and can be arranged with any combination of HF (1.5 to 32
MHz.) and UHF inputs (20 to 1000 MHz.). It is contained in a 4U (7
inches high) rack mount chassis and is intended for small to medium
sized antenna interfacing installations.
This unit
provides a flexible control interface and can be commanded from the
front panel through a keypad and fluorescent display, through an RS-232
direct interface, or through a 10/100 TCIP LAN interface. All choices
offer full access to the available command set. “Small to medium
installations will find this an ideal solution for antenna interface
requirements,” said Gene Joles, Vice President of Microwave Systems
Solutions, Electronics Group, Crane Aerospace & Electronics.
