LYNNWOOD, Wash. – April 2, 2006 – Crane Aerospace & Electronics, a segment
of Crane Co. (NYSE:CR), announces the appointment of Clarence Au-Young
as Vice President of the Landing Systems Value Stream. In this role,
Au-Young will be responsible for the entire Landing Systems value stream
process from product concept to launch and from order to delivery.
Landing Systems is comprised of electronic and hydraulic subsystems for
aircraft landing gear such as brake control, brake temperature and tire
pressure systems.
Au-Young joined Crane in 2005 as Director of Program Management for
Landing Systems and Cabin Solutions. He came to Crane from Honeywell
Aerospace in Phoenix, Arizona where he was employed for 18 years, most
recently as Vice President of Airbus business, and, before that, Vice
President of regional and business jet business. Prior responsibilities
at Honeywell spanned a wide range of activities including controls
engineering, project engineering, program management, mergers and
acquisitions, and strategic planning.
Au-Young received a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a
Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from Lehigh University in
Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He also earned a Master's in Mechanical
Engineering from California State University and an MBA in Finance and
General Management from the University of Southern California.
